The menu is a vibrant tapestry of the Philippines’ most cherished dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and crafted with care. For those seeking rich, umami-packed meals, the Lechon Kawali is a must-try — its perfectly crispy, golden skin gives way to juicy, tender pork beneath, leaving your palate craving more. The Grilled Liempo (pork belly) delivers smoky, succulent perfection with every bite, a classic favorite often praised by loyal diners. Traditional Filipino food. I’ve been going here for at least 8 years and it’s consistently delicious. Very nice people.

Good and service was fantastic. They made a traditional cake for my mother-in-law for her bday for free. I was super impressed with the upstairs sitting.

Ive been missing their grilled liempo and so we revisited this July and had a wonderful lunch! it wasnt too busy on an early Sunday but there was a good amount of people ahead of us already. Service was good and music played were nice! Ambiance is dark though, whereas i prefer places that have more natural light. We got their grilled liempo (of course!), shrimp sinigang and grilled bangus. Everything complimented each other - the savoriness of the pork and the warm and sour soup of the sinigang. The fish was nicely cooked and we loved the veggie toppings. We were so full but still decided to get the halo-halo anyway haha Ive had better halohalo though; theirs was little ube ice cream and the ice is not fine. Its pieces of ice that you have to crunch with your teeth rather than that melt in your mouth shaved ice so we’ll probably skip that next time. Overall its one hearty meal over here.

Bamboo Grill is hands down the best Filipino restaurant in Jersey! The food is delicious and authentic—every dish tastes just like home. What really makes this place stand out is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owner and staff go out of their way to make you feel like family. Whether you’re craving classic comfort food or introducing someone to Filipino cuisine, Bamboo Grill is the perfect spot. Highly recommended!

The lechon kawali is on point crispy and juicy. The garlic rice, and Leche flan were awesome. I tried some BBQ chicken and I swear it's the best I've ever had. Ive had better crispy pata at other places tho. It was crispy but dried out. Honestly everything else that I tried was super good. Will be coming back for more!

Food is tasty, although you’d have to know your way around Filipino cuisine or you’ll have a hard time getting authentic food (and the Western food here is not the best). We had good pampano sinigang and loganisa, but we can never find something the kids really like other than the steamed white rice. The spring rolls (fried lumpia) were crisp and fresh. The garlic rice is also special. Service is not the most efficient but it’s ok. Just don’t come in a hurry... We were here 3 times and whenever we order off the specials menu, we are happy with our choice. Waiting to try something new next time.

A FOODIE’S FIND OF AN OUTSTANDING FILIPINO RESTAURANT. It’s traditional home cooking of culinary treasures mostly from the Luzon Island of Philippines… There’s much of the true Umami flavors so enjoyable of traditional Luzon cooking. The food servings are large: good for 2-3 people. Dinners come with house soup: A most delightful consommé of chicken and vegetable broth.. RECOMMENDATIONS that exude umami flavors: LUMPIA SARIWA: uniquely Filipino vegetarian crepes. + Lightly blanched yet crispy crunchy vegetables that includes strips of heart of palm. + Complex textures of simply seasoned veggies wrapped in paper-thin tapioca-egg crepes, married together by luscious sauce that fortifies natural Umami flavors of the veggies. + Topped with chopped peanuts the adds new layer of texture. Pakbet: a treasure of Northwest Luzon, a very lovely stew yet Al Dental oriental vegetables simply seasoned with ground peppercorns … and what I thought is plain salt but the owner/cook says it’s light fish sauce (simply WOW. + The Au Jus exudes the Umami flavor that’s absolutely delightful. Dinuguan: yet another uniquely Filipino blood stew of pork… it’s the Pièce de Résistance of Philippine culinary culture. + For a pork entree, it’s surprisingly has the Umami flavor blended with a slightly tart taste of rice wine vinegar and mild heat from hot banana peppers…. It’s heavenly !!! The staf are amongst the most amiable people in the restaurant industry one would ever meet. The cook/owner (I think) makes her rounds talking with diners. THE MENU IS SHORT, the very sign of mastery of the cook/chef and a clear vision of the owner. It’s the type of menu one could surely explore furthermore in subsequent visits. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The service is friendly, accommodating, and warm. The food is delicious! Service is quick, too. They don't rush you out. We specially enjoyed the kare-kare, sinigang na pompano, lumpiang sariwa, grilled fish, and the halo halo. All their dishes are authentic. Their bibingka is also good! Pricing is fair. This is our go-to Filipino restaurant in North Jersey.
